Archie sometimes thinks of Betty more as a close friend and confidante. He likes that she is always available as a back-up when Veronica has a date with one of her other boyfriends.

Betty is such a great friend that she does Archie’s French homework for him while he takes Veronica to the dance. Archie wants to thank Betty in the best way he knows how, because “all work and no play isn’t healthy.”
