The model at the house of the amateur painter. A Suite of ten prints circa 1880. Created in etching and aquatint, this suite of prints shows the goings-on at the artist’s studio once the model arrives. The artist, the model, and yes, the elevator boy have an exciting afternoon.

This suite was produced by the artist known as Frédillo circa 1880, but almost nothing is known about him. Frédillo (or Fredillo) was a French cartoonist and illustrator working in the late 19th Century. His work appeared in La Lanterne (1874-1876), L’Écho des jeunes and La Plume (after 1889).
