The Beautiful Flagellants of Chicago – An English gentleman makes a voyage to America and finds there adherents to his particular interests, flagellation, often referred to as “The English Vice.”

In 1905 Édouard-Henri Avril, known as Paul Avril, created illustrations for the book Un été à la campagne.
